The Osborne Flexible Fund is a registered collective investment scheme (unit trust) and, as such, provides investors with the administrative and cost advantages applicable to such schemes.

Fund Details

Investment Objectives:    The fund is an actively managed portfolio which aims to outperform both the All Share Index and competing funds. Investors should note that a flexible collective investment scheme can hold any combination of shares, bonds and cash. The Osborne Flexible Fund will however predominantly invest in equities.
Portfolio Manager:    The fund is managed by Niall Brown.
Management & Administration:    Prescient Management Company. (The fund is a white-label portfolio operating under the Prescient Unit Trust Scheme)

  • The base fee will be charged at an annual rate of 1.25% per annum calculated daily and deducted monthly from the portfolio’s income as per regulation. The performance fee is one tenth of the amount by which the Fund out-performs the benchmark. This fee will be calculated and accrued for daily in arrears and recovered on a monthly basis if earned. If the Fund under-performs the benchmark, no performance fee will be charged for that period until the deficit has been made up. The benchmark is the Average of the South African Flexible Unit Trust category of funds as measured by MoneyMate.
